Stephen Murray Still Staying Strong

It has been almost 7 years since Super Charing wrote a story about professional BMX rider Stephen Murray being involved in a life changing moment after a difficult double backflip BMX trick went horribly wrong during a contest run on June 22nd 2007.

We thought we would write and show an update on how Stephen has been doing these last almost seven years living as a high level quadriplegic due to a spinal cord injury he sustained on impact after crashing.

Stephen Murray has not given up and has continued to live his life in the best and fullest way he possibly can. He continues to be active in the BMX community, and never has much of a boring moment thanks to his two young sons that keep him smiling and giving him a purpose to live on and Stay Strong. Stay Strong has been a motivational saying since Stephen was injured. Shortly after his injury he started a company and BMX Team called Stay Strong.

Stephen Murray continues to live his life from a wheelchair as a high-level quadriplegic, but just last year regained a small amount of function and movement in his arms. Not yet enough movement or strength to control his power chair with his arms, but with time, patience, and upcoming technology Stephen will not only be able to use his arms and hands, but will one day in the near future be able to stand again and maybe even ride. Regardless what happens he will continue to Live Strong for his family, friends, and fans.
