Abilities Expo 2012

Super Chairing exhibited for the 2nd time at the Chicago 2012 Abilities Expo from June 29th to July 1st at the Shaumburg Convention Center. The Abilities Expo is held at several different locations around the United States at different times of the year. The expo features dozens of companies and organizations that show, sell, advertise, and promote thier products to people with all types of different disabilities as well as to thier family and friends. Super Chairing had a successful 3-day exhibit where we were able to reach out to thousands of disabled individuals and spread the word about our organization, our mission, our current events and our future goals.

Super Chairing president John “J2” Mryczko and directors Joanna Mikosz, Michael Dornfeld and Nichole Kuhlin-Watson worked diligently to educate everyone who visited the Super Chairing booth. They passed out flyers and decals, and sold Super Chairing goods to raise money for a great cause.
Super Chairing once again held a raffle for a free skydive provided by one of our supportive sponsors Skydive Midwest. Over the three day weekend over 100 people signed up. There were a mixture of people who signed up with and without disabilities, and ages ranging from 18 to 79. At the end there could only be one winner and that person was _______.

The weekend ended in a success with several new SC supporters who generously offered us excellent moral and financial support to help our organization continue to provide opportunities for disabled individuals, whether involved in an action sport or simply looking to participate in local Super Chairing sport events.

Our organization made close to $200 by selling Super Chairing wristbands, T-shirts and motivational DVD’s. We touched many hearts with our stories of past events and future goals

Next year, Super Chairing will be exhibiting at the 2013 Abilities Expo and are proud to be hosting a wheelchair racing obstacle course in the events area. We are excited to set up a safe and fun event that will allow people in both power and manual wheelchairs to experience the thrill of climbing ramps, circling cones and passing through other obstacles that will give them a rush of adrenaline and release some endorphins and feel great in their chairs.

Super Chairing is grateful for all of the generous donations from our loyal supporters—THANK YOU!
